What Does It Mean to Get Your Car Detailed?

car detailing for a dirty interior made cleanHave you heard of getting your car detailed, but wondered what it is exactly? Many businesses offer car detailing that includes various things, but there’s usually a standard list. Most often it includes cleaning the upholstery, cleaning the floors/carpets and mats, and basically cleaning and deodorizing the interior of the vehicle. Some car detailing services might include the exterior of the vehicle and tires. You can shop around to find the services that you need and the price that fits your budget. People who get their vehicles detailed report that their car is “just like new” again; looking and smelling like new.

If you vehicle is dirty or has been through the ringer with carpools and road trips with kids, you may really appreciate the assistance with getting the interior clean again.

Have you had your vehicle detailed? Where in the Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN metro area do you go that you love?

Are Your Tires Ready for Spring?

While your tires aren’t the engine or transmission of your vehicle, you wouldn’t get anywhere without them. Tires should be an integral part of your vehicle maintenance regiment, yet they are frequently overlooked and taken for granted.

Spring is here, snow is melting, and rain is sure to arrive. You want to make sure you are as safe as possible on the road and avoid hydroplaning on slick roads.

pothole damage to carA long winter also means the roads can be in tough shape. We’ve heard of a lot of potholes around the Twin Cities area. While road crews are already addressing this issue, we want to make sure that you know that potholes can cause damage to your tires. Some damage you can see, and other times, hitting a pothole can damage the inside of your tire without visible damage. Get your tires checked.

While snow tires may seem a “thing of the past” for some, many people still put snow tires on their vehicles to help manage the snowy, Minnesota winter roads. If this is the case, it’s time to get them switched over. Make sure your snow tires are stored correctly, as well as check over the tires you plan to swap them with.

The TireZoo crew in Anoka or Bloomington can help make sure your tires are ready for Spring. Stop by and see us today!

Did you know that Tuesday, March 26, 2013 is actually “Make Your Own Holiday Day”? It’s a day that anyone is supposed to make up any day they wish, so we’re declaring today Tire Day. That’s just as much fun as, oh say… “Bunsen Burner Day” on March 31.

Today is actually, “National Goof Off Day”, so in celebration of that we’ll post a fun picture of cats in pajamas and wigs.
