Don’t Have a Debbie Downer Moment

Ever get pumped up over an event that you can’t wait to attend, only to have something happen that prevents you from arriving on time or arriving at all?

If you are a fan of Saturday Night Live, you’ve probably seen the Debbie Downer skit. Nobody wants to have bad scenarios happen, including flat tires. Get a flat tire on your way to going somewhere fun, and you’ll have a downer moment. Here’s the noise that follows:

Avoid a big downer and check your tires before you head out. Try to do this a few days a head of time, so you aren’t rushed later.

  1. Check the tread on your tire by taking a penny and placing it with Lincoln’s head facing down into the tread. If you can see the top of his head (i.e. it is not below the tread) your tire needs to be replaced.
  2. Check air pressure of your tires.
  3. Check for any bulging, wearing, or hopefully nothing sticking out like a nail (Hint: that wouldn’t be good)
  4. Have your tires regularly rotated and balanced

If you have questions or need help, the TireZoo Crew is available Monday-Saturday in Bloomington and Anoka, MN. Call us or stop in.
